Don't be dogmatic. [When] you are talking with anyone who is not an objectivist [...] there's going to be many things you disagree about, but that doesn't mean you can't agree on some things, even if he does not have the full philosophic structure to validate it.

Again, the issue is: is there is some consistent ideology or philosophy underlying his particular position with which you disagree (in which case you say so and dissociate yourself)? If that's not the case feel free to associate with him.
